When it comes to time spent online, studies show that 80 percent of visitors will watch a video, but only 20 percent will read content in its entirety. In fact, 100 million Internet users watch a video online every day. This proves how incredibly powerful videos are in sharing information today. That’s why Matthew Poore, DDS has developed a surefire way for oral surgery patients to effectively retain critical pre-operative and post-operative instructions that can truly determine their outcome.
Dr. Poore of Monroe Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery provides all the information patients need prior to and following surgery via short-format educational videos directly on the practice’s new website at monroecountyoralsurgery.com. Patients can watch educational, instructional, and testimonial videos on everything from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth extractions to bone grafting and facial trauma surgery.
“Our top priority is to provide every patient with the highest level of oral surgical care, so we do everything in our power to ensure that patients are fully informed and comfortable throughout the entire procedural process,” said Dr. Poore. “The videos found on our new online resource help to prepare our patients to ensure the best possible surgical outcome.”
In addition to the educational videos that feature pre-operative and post-operative instructions, monroecountyoralsurgery.com provides patients with testimonials from other doctors who have worked with Dr. Poore, as well as past patients who have undergone the full scope of surgical procedures offered at Monroe Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery. This helps patients hear firsthand what to expect and provides additional support if they are experiencing anxiety about their surgery.
“Oftentimes, patients feel apprehensive about wisdom tooth removal or dental implant surgery, but after watching videos of past patients with similar experiences, patients feel much more at ease,” said Dr. Poore. “Our new online resource reflects the high quality of oral and maxillofacial surgical care and innovative technology that we provide for our patients, and it will truly make a difference in the patient’s experience.”
